JOHANNESBURG, South Africa – Samsung has launched its Galaxy S5 across 125 countries of the globe, and various carriers in South Africa, such as MTN, Vodacom, Cell C and Telkom Mobile, who have announced their prices.

The Smart Plans for Vodacom range from R649 per month to R1 169 per month on a 24-month contract that includes SMS, voice minutes and data and varies from package to package. Whereas the same operator’s limitless Red packages range from R999 to R1 999 per month on a 24-month contract, with varying monthly voice minutes, unlimited SMS and data. MTN is offering the device on MTNChoice 100 for R489 per month on a 24-month contract inclusive of 100 SMS, 100 AnyTime minutes and 300MB data.
Cell C’s Galaxy S5 plans also include unlimited voice minutes and SMS – there are 13 different plans, ranging from R469 to R1799 per month.
Telekom Mobile’s two Smartplans 50 and Smartplans 100 are available for a 24-month contract that includes features for calls, SMS and data plans. These include an unlimited plan for on-net data and Wi-Fi (subjected to a fair usage policy).
