The Samsung Galaxy S6 Active smartphone was recently spotted in the flesh. A new leak from today shows the smartphone in the company’s official site, all but confirming its arrival. While we didn’t need any confirmation about the handset’s existence, it’s good to know that the device is nearing launch.
One of the key changes with the Galaxy S6 Active compared to the Galaxy S6 is the lack of a fingerprint scanner to add water resistant buttons on the front. This new leak is coming through a list shown by the Samsung Plus program (now retracted), which also shows an April 10 release date along with the reward points for registered users.
It has been said that the Galaxy S6 Active will sport the same 5.1 inch Quad HD display, a 16-megapixel camera on the back, 5-megapixel front camera, the octa core 64-bit Exynos 7420 SoC, 3GB of RAM, 64GB of storage possibly with a microSD card slot, a bigger 3,500 mAh battery and Android 5.0.2 Lollipop.
