Samsung has already introduced its new flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge at the Mobile World Congress. Even though these new flagship smartphones will be launched in India on April 10th, the company is hosting an event on March 23rd next week. At this event the company will be launching both these smartphones.
This time around Samsung has replaced the plastics on its smartphones and instead used plenty of metals. Apart from this the company has also made many other changes in order to secure top of the line industrial design.
The specifications of the new Galaxy S6 include a 5.1 inch QHD display and will be powered by an Exynos 7420 octa-core processor with 64 bit capability. Along with this the smartphone will also come along with 3 GB of RAM. The Galaxy S6 will come in 32, 64 and 128 GB internal storage variants but sad news is that there will be no micro SD card slot to expand the storage of the smartphone.
The Galaxy S6 also features a 16 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera. The smartphone will also have a 2550mAh battery with Ultra Power Saving Mode under its hood. Users can also benefit from wireless charging capabilities of the smartphone. Now coming to the software side the Galaxy S6 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Moreover the Galaxy S6 Edge’s USP is the curved display with its sides acting as a secondary display where users will now be able to view notifications and launch applications with one hand. The body of the Galaxy S6 edge is made out of Gorilla Glass 4 and metal. The specifications however are the same as that of the Galaxy S6.
