Galaxy S6 music stops momentarily when phone is unlocked
Problem: Hello, I’ve been having my S6 for 4 months now. I remember the first few months was okay, but after an update a problem arise. Every time when I unlock my phone with my ear phones plucked in, the music just gets interrupted. Basically the song playing would just ‘pause’ for 2s.. its not really stop as when the audio comes back up it is continued. The 2 seconds is more like a.. mute. Then it plays again. It doesn’t happen when i don’t pluck in my ear phones. I’ve tried changing ear phones but the problem still persists, may i trouble the team to help me with this issue please? Thanks in advance! Answer: Sounds like a normal operation of the phone. For technicians like us, we often read the change logs of every update being rolled out but I haven’t actually read something that may explain why this is happening to you. Perhaps, the recent firmware version is supposed to do it. There is, however, something you can do to further probe if this is just a part of the firmware or it’s a minor issue with the phone–master reset.
If the problem remained after the reset, then it must be with the firmware that there’s nothing we can do about it. Otherwise, it was a minor issue brought or caused by the recent firmware version but it was fixed by the reset.
How to master reset Galaxy S6
Turn off your Samsung Galaxy S6.
Press and hold the Volume Up, Home and Power keys together.
When the device powers on and displays ‘Power on logo’, release all keys and the Android icon will appear on the screen.
Wait until the Android Recovery Screen appears after about 30 seconds.
Using the Volume Down key, highlight the option, ‘wipe data/factory reset’ and press the Power key to select it.
Press the Vol Down button again until the option ‘Yes — delete all user data’ is highlighted and then press the Power key to select it.
After the reset is complete, highlight ‘Reboot system now’ and hit the Power key to restart the phone.
Galaxy S6 loudspeaker not working
Problem: Have no loudspeaker, no ring, music, or speaker for phone calls. Audio jack works, ear speaker works. Everything else works. Went through all settings all on the right way. Also did factory reset. Still no sound.
Answer: It’s probably a hardware problem; either the speaker is busted or there’s more serious issue inside. The best thing to do is to have the phone checked by a technician. Doing the factory reset ruled out the possibility that it’s just a firmware problem.
Galaxy S6 plays notification sound but no messages or notifications
Problem: For roughly about a week now I’ve been receiving the notification sound but no notification indicated on my phone’s lock screen or on the status bar. I turned off all notifications from apps when I first got the phone and have only installed 3 third party apps which I’ve had on previous devices. I’m at a loss as to where this is coming from. Hopefully you can help me. Thanks in advance!
Answer: I think you’re talking about the Wi-Fi notification sound. I encountered issues like this before and it occurs when the phone disconnects from the network and attempts to reconnect. If mobile data is enabled, the phone may switch between mobile data and Wi-Fi and every time the phone does that, it will play the notification sound. You may disable Wi-Fi is not in use or the mobile data to prevent it from switching between networks. You may also disable Smart Network Switch under Wi-Fi settings.
Galaxy S6 sound system affected by liquid damage
Problem: My phone fell in the dishes and it got wet enough to cause some damage. I got it right away and dried the outside then after 5 minutes I put it in rice. After about 8 hours I get and I turn it on and the back key doesn’t work both the left and right touch keys. Which is near the sound system and the sound system sound terrible. So I put it back in the rice. I would like to know if there is any remedy because I leased the phone so technically it isn’t mine. I do have insurance but I don’t think it covers water damage.
Suggestion: Apparently, the incident caused some issues with the phone and whether or not it’s minor or serious, we really don’t know. That’s the thing about liquid damage, we will never guess as to what extent the problem is. That said, I suggest you bring the phone to a technician and have it cleaned and dried up thoroughly. After that, you would know if the damage was serious or if the device just acted up a little crazy due to liquid that may have touched the circuit.
Pandora volume keeps changing up and down on Galaxy S6
Problem: When I listened to Pandora volume goes up and down by itself. Please help! This is the 4th phone ice returned by of the problem and I just received another phone yesterday and problem still persist. Please help!
Troubleshooting: The first thing you should do is verify if it happens only to Pandora or if other apps behave like it. So, try playing or streaming music using other apps to find out if the volume also changes. If not, then it is more likely an app issue, however, I suggest you try using a different pair of headphones while using Pandora and other music apps.
If the problem still occurs with Pandora but not in other apps, then it’s conclusive to be an app problem. Try clearing the cache and the data of the app. If it doesn’t help, it’s time you reported the problem to the developer.
On the other hand, if the problem was fixed by using a different pair of headphones, then you should but a new one.
