The Samsung Galaxy S6 Smartphone is the next in line gadget in the trademark S series and is likely to be released early 2015.
The Galaxy S6 is rumored to be around the corner and its release can be expected early next year. But after carefully analyzing the trends from the previous launches it is safe to assume that the launch may coincide with the Barcelona Mobile World Congress in the first week of March. The tech giant is still numb about the flagship project and no official information has been released about the release of the Galaxy 6.
Over the past few weeks there have been a lot of rumors that have been going round about the Samsung’s Galaxy S6. This is expected to be a powerful device taking account the sophistication of its earlier predecessors, such as the Galaxy S3, S4, and S5. Though the leaks show that there may be drastic improvements when compared to its most recent predecessor the S5, the galaxy S6 will have more features that will make it more superior in performance, in addition to better physical design.
Galaxy S6 expected perform better than S5
With the Smartphone and iPhone market being more competitive, Samsung will have to put its best foot forward so as to remain as a force to reckon with. Considering the releases of iPhone 6 as well as the anticipated launch of the Sony Xperia Z4 and HTC One M9, it may not be surprising to find that the two gadgets may be launched around the same time.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 will hopefully turn the tables for Samsung whose sales have dropped especially in the third Quarter of 2014. This is made worse by the poor uptake of the Samsung Galaxy S5 which did not meet the market expectations since it was simply a few upgraded features of the S4 and no significant new features. If recent trends are anything to go by, then we might find the Galaxy S6 having a metal back just like the recently launched A3 and A5.
Sources indicate that the mobile manufacturer, who has enjoyed the most success in the mobile industry so far, will use the aluminum back for most of it upcoming flagships or use graphene material for their bodies. The leaked designs show that the Galaxy S6 phone might also have a curved display among other new and exciting features which will play a big role in winning back customers.
Galaxy S6 physical features and design
Just like the S5, the Galaxy S6 is expected to have IP68 waterproof features of up to a pressure of 2 bars as well as dust proof features. Other features that can be expected is the newly launched Corning Gorilla Glass 4 which is 80% shutter proof, a flexible 5.5 inch Super AMOLED display screen which may incorporate 3D and will have 4K display (3840 x 2160 pixels) which is similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. It is also expected to be light weight at about 115 grams.
Samsung is also known for its good battery power saving options and great battery life and in this project it is not an exception. The Galaxy S6 gadget will come with a 4000 mAh battery.
Samsung galaxy S6 operating System
As for the Software that will be used to run the powerful Galaxy S6 will be most likely the Android 5.0 Lollipop or Android 6.0 Milkshake if it will have been developed by then. It is almost unlikely that the flagship will run on the Samsung developed Tizen OS with confirmed reports from Google indicating that the Galaxy S6 will run on Android. But anything can be expected from the mobile manufacturer.
The Galaxy S series is also known for having powerful front and rear cameras and for this case this is also expected and as always Samsung never disappoints when it comes to this. It is expected that the Galaxy S6 Smartphone will have a 20 MP rear and a 6 MP front camera. Alot of emphasis is being put in the quality of photos and cameras for smartphones especially because of social media.
The Galaxy S6 is also expected to feature Optical Image Stabilization feature which is a new feature in the Galaxy S series and will feature Video Stabilization features also.
Galaxy S6 processor and Storage
Samsung might also incorporate a Snapdragon Qualcomm 810 Octacore Processor. The Galaxy S6 is expected to be the first 64 bit phone to run on that processor. The gadget will also be packed with a 4 GB RAM and might come in versions with internal storage of 32, 64 or 128 GB.
For all these features the Galaxy S6 phone is expected to fetch a hefty price and will set the notch higher especially in the high end Smartphone market.
