The Samsung Galaxy S6 was launched earlier this month amidst plenty of hype and expectations from the fans and the company alike. And after hearing yesterday that the arrival of the device had impacted the iPhone 6 sales, a newer report believes that the sales have been underwhelming.
It is said that the smartphone has failed to live up to the expectations in its home region of South Korea. It is said that Samsung only sold 200,000 units of the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge in the region, which isn’t all that impressive.
As we all know, Samsung plans to sell 50 million units of the two smartphones before the end of 2015, so figures like this will not help the company’s cause. The company is yet to post sales figures for the smartphone in the rest of the world markets, so we can’t tell for sure if the response has been positive elsewhere.
The Galaxy S6 is no doubt an excellent smartphone, but we don’t think the company has fully convinced the customers of its potential yet.
