Down under, it was thought that Apple managed to halt sales of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 until its lawsuit against Samsung would be over. However, Samsung later cheerfully announced that it plans to sell the tablet in Australia anyway.
And today we have some more proof that that’s the case. Phandroid got hold of a capture from a flyer for Australian retailer Myer which shows the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in all its glory, alongside a firm release date: September 1.
That incidentally comes just after the August 29 scheduled hearing in the Apple vs. Samsung case. Could Samsung have decided to ignore the suit and deal with the consequences later? Or is the Korean company so confident that the hearing on August 29 will go in its favor that it’s already let its Australian partners know when it plans to launch the Galaxy Tab 10.1? Only time will tell.
And one way or another, it looks like the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be in Australia soon, following in the footsteps of its chubbier older brother, the Galaxy Tab 10.1v.
