Although Samsung said that all its new Galaxy Tab 3 tablets would be released (in some markets) this month, it looks like none of them is going to be available in the UK before July.
Carphone Warehouse is the only British retailer that provides details on the tablets’ launch, saying they’ll be in stock starting next month. All models are listed: Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, Galaxy Tab 3 8.0, and Galaxy Tab 3 10.1.
The retailer doesn’t mention anything about pricing. We’ve heard that the Tab 3 7.0 (8GB version) would cost $199 in the US, so it’s probably going to be offered for not more than £199 in the UK. The Tab 8.0 and Tab 3 10.1 will obviously be more expensive, with the latter’s 32GB edition likely costing at least £350.
While the 7 inch Galaxy Tab 3 runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the slightly newer Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 and Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 come with the latest Android 4.2.2. Sure enough, the Tab 3 7.0 will be updated to 4.2.2 eventually.
Samsung has only confirmed the existence of white Galaxy Tab 3s, but we’ve spotted them in brown, too. It remains to be seen if this (yet unofficial) second color version will make it to the UK.
At the time of this writing, none of Samsung’s new Galaxy Tabs is available to purchase, regardless of where you want to get it from.
