Barnes & Noble, Inc. the America’s largest bookseller and a leader retailer of content, digital media and educational products introduced the SamsungGalaxy Tab A NOOK, in conjunction with Samsung Electronics America. This is the newest addition to the NOOK by Samsung lineup and the next generation reader’s tablet. According to the company, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A NOOK is the perfect device for customers who are looking for a leading tablet that combines the latest features and a great reading experience.
Now talking about the device now, it is the same average Galaxy Tab A 7.0 which was launched previously by the company. It comes with the same 7-inch 1280 x 800 LCD and it is powered by the same Snapdragon 410. It packs 1.5GB of RAM and has 8GB of internal storage. The device will be equipped with a 4000 mAh battery. The company claims that users can read the content for a long time and will be able to get up to 11 hours of internet usage out of it.
It is also stated that the NOOK Audiobooks will be coming to the Samsung Galaxy Tab A in September via a software update, which will it allow users to access nearly 80,000 audiobooks with over 9,500 free titles. We have been seeing a lot of E-book readers lately on the same lines. Recently Kobo also launched a new one called the Aura One. It has a beautiful 7.8-inch display on the front with a great pixel density of 300 ppi. This display is indeed bigger than the usual ones we see with Amazon Kindlelineup.
This new Galaxy Tab A NOOK is available from Barnes & Noble store for $139.99 for new customers, whereas the existing NOOK customers can get it for as low as $99.99 with a free cover for a limited period of time.
