SEOUL, South Korea - Samsung Mobile has announced its 7-inch tablet-handset, the Samsung Galaxy W, in its home country.
The device offers a 7-inch screen with a compact chassis, and even though it seems to be a bit over-sized, the company says it to be comfortable enough to be held as a phone. Looking at its specs, the handset is basically a mid-ranger with 720p resolution, a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage with a provision of expandable memory via microSD card, an 8MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary camera. The device comes with LTE-A support and has 3200mAh of battery capacity. It runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
Its back comes with a faux leather cover and stitch design, offering it a premium feel. Additionally, it also hosts some features like Pop Up Play, Split View and Multi Window.
The Samsung Galaxy W is available in three different color options of black, white and red. It is priced at 499,400 won in South Korea.
