We just received word that Samsung is about to release a successor to the company’s rugged Android device, the Galaxy Xcover. If Samsung continues with their usual naming scheme, then this new device will simply be called Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2. The tipster revealed that the Galaxy Xcover 2 device will arrive to Finland in February, but no other details were given. The original Galaxy Xcover was released in August, 2011. In today’s standards the original Galaxy Xcover is outdated. The new Galaxy Xcover 2 will hopefully come with a dual-core design, Android 4.1, and a Gorilla Glass 2 screen with a resolution of at least 800 x 480.
