Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 tablet last year featuring a midrange Snapdragon 400 quad core SoC. A new leak now indicates that the company could be looking to launch a slightly revamped version of the tablet with a Snapdragon 410 chipset, which is also 64-bit capable.
Interestingly, this will still be known as the Galaxy Tab 4 and not Galaxy Tab 5 as there are no other changes on board. So customers will still be able to find the same 10.1 inch 1280 x 800 display, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of storage (expandable), a 3.15-megapixel camera on the back and a 6,800 mAh battery.
We can also expect the device to be sporting Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box as Samsung is already sending out the update to its smartphones. There’s no word on when the tablet will be officially revealed by the manufacturer, but we have a feeling it will be very soon given that it’s a midrange offering.
