Samsung today announced the launch of two mid-range smartphones that are geared towards the selfie and the social media generation. The handsets will be targeted to customers who consider social media to be a big part of their lives and want a device that aids them in accessing and sharing content to those networks easily without breaking the bank. That’s where the new Galaxy J7 Pro and Galaxy J7 Max come in.
The Galaxy J7 Pro features a 5.5 inch Super AMOLED display with an Exynos 7870 processor that’s coupled with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The handset also has a 3,600mAh battery.
The Galaxy J7 Max has a larger 5.7 inch full HD IPS display with a MediaTek Helio P20 processor, 4GB RAM, and 64GB of storage. It has a 3,300mAh battery.
Both new smartphones feature 13 megapixel front and back cameras with LED flashes. They have a social camera feature which makes it very easy to share photos and images to social networks. Users can even pin their favorite contacts from Facebook, Whatsapp, etc to quickly share content with them. Live stickers are built into the camera app as well.
Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro owners will also get access to Samsung Pay while the Galaxy J7 Mini will get support for Samsung Pay Mini. Both handsets are currently being launched in India for $330 and $280 respectively. No word as yet on when they will be released elsewhere.
