As IFA Berlin gets closer (it will take place between September 2-7), more and more information comes to us regarding products that will supposedly be unveiled there. So yesterday we found out that Samsung plans on introducing the Wave 3, the Galaxy Note, and the Galaxy Tab 7.7 at the famous trade show.
The Galaxy S II with LTE won’t just be the exact same device we already know, only with added LTE connectivity. It will also come with some upgraded specs. The Galaxy S II LTE will be the first LTE/WCDMA/GSM multi-mode phone, meaning that where there’s no LTE available, it will fall back on HSPA+ and EDGE. The device will also come with a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen, a dual-core 1.5 GHz processor, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, an 8 MP camera with flash, and a 1850 mAh battery.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 was announced this spring during CTIA, yet it’s still not available anywhere in the world. Perhaps choosing to ignore the irony, Samsung will also announce a new version of this tablet before the ‘old’ version has shipped.
The new Galaxy Tab 8.9 will obviously come with LTE connectivity, but will also pack a dual-core 1.5 GHz processor. The rest of the specs remain unchanged, so it will still have a 3 MP camera, an 8.9-inch 1280×800 touchscreen, and 8.6 mm thickness. However, it will ship running Android 3.2, which at the moment is the latest version of Google’s tablet-optimized mobile operating system.
The LTE Galaxy Tab 8.9 may even be introduced earlier, perhaps at a Samsung event in New York on August 29. We’ll keep you posted.
