Samsung has started rolling out the Android 4.4 update for the Galaxy Note 3 smartphone in more regions across the globe. Smartphones in Europe and Asia are reported to be getting the KitKat update as of today, so we can expect the update rollout to finish by the end of January if not sooner. Fortunately for the users, Samsung is rolling out the update to both the Snapdragon 800 (SM-N9005) and the Exynos 5 (SM-N9000) variants, so that covers a broad spectrum of users.
The update will not come with a lot of changes, but the performance is believed to be faster post the update. Users will also be greeted to a new UI which is not entirely different from Android 4.3. The bad news however is that Samsung is blocking support for all third party cases and accessories with this update. So if you use a third party accessory on your Note 3, we recommend you to wait until there’s a workaround.
