The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (GT-I9500) is now getting a minor update from Samsung which will bring stability improvements in Samsung’s words. Although there’s no clarity on what these improvements are, we’re guessing most of them are under the hood, so it will probably go unnoticed. The update is a meager 30MB in size, so it won’t take long. Russia and Thailand are getting the update now with other regions slated to follow suit. This is valid only for the Exynos 5 Octa running Galaxy Note 3 smartphones, so American and other Snapdragon 800 variants of the handset don’t count. The update notification will eventually pop up on your octa core Galaxy Note 3, but if it doesn’t you can try pulling it manually through the settings. The update carries the build number N900XXUCMK2.
The smartphone is set to receive the Android 4.4 update in January according to a new leak, so this minor update will not particularly excite owners of the smartphone. However, it’s good to know that Samsung is always keen on improving its devices with small but significant updates like these.
