We’ve been hearing about the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 for quite some time now, but haven’t seen the company formally announce it yet. However, that could be changing next week if a new report is anything to go by. The Galaxy Tab S2 in 8.0 and 9.7 inch avatars could be on Samsung’s plate during an announcement reportedly scheduled for July 20.
Since these are successors to the high end Galaxy Tab S tablets from last year, customers can expect a premium grade hardware to be on board. Apart from using the company’s proprietary Super AMOLED display panels, the tablets are also expected to be packing ultra-slim exteriors which could be somewhere under 6mm, if previous reports are accurate.
The Galaxy Tab S2 series will also pack the octa core Exynos 7420 SoC, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, 8-megapixel cameras and Android 5.1 Lollipop with the new TouchWiz. Samsung is expected to reveal the next generation Galaxy Note flagship on the 12th of August, so we’re not sure if it makes sense to schedule two different events within three weeks of each other.
