I bet it is.. Just few days ago, we reported the new Samsung T879 coming to T-Mobile as a some tablet, but now seams that the mystery is getting solved. According with Bluetooth SIG site, the Samsung T879 is related with the Samsung i717 aka Samsung Galaxy Note for AT&T.
Not few days ago, Sprint also leaked some information about getting its own variant of the Samsung Galaxy Note called Journal. Now, make sense that T-Mobile will do the same.
The Samsung GALAXY features a 5.3-inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of the whopping 800 x 1280 pixels (WXGA), resulting in pixel density of 285ppi. It also stands out with its built in stylus and apps supporting pen input. Under the hood, a Samsung 1.4GHz dual-core chip powers Android 2.3 Gingerbread skinned with TouchWiz. The Galaxy Note also sports an 8-megapixel rear camera capable of 1080p video recording, while up front there is a 2-megapixel shooter.
