Earlier today, Samsung announced on its official blog that it will be launching its first ever ruggedized tablet, the Galaxy Tab Active, in India in the “near future”. Although an exact launch date hasn’t been specified yet, we do have some information with regards to pricing.
According to the South Korean company, the hard-wearing shock-resistant slate will be available to purchase from its online portal for INR 52,000, which is approximately $840 — so it’s not going to be cheap by any means. In fact, it’s pretty much the same price as a Galaxy S5, One (M8) or Galaxy Note 4.
Under its rubber-infested, waterproof casing, the Galaxy Tab Active packs an 8-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels, a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor, an Adreno 305 GPU, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable internal memory and a 4,450 mAh battery.
Will any of you guys in India be picking up a Galaxy Tab Active?
