The marquee feature in the update is support for reminders. If, like me, you scan documents not only for safekeeping but for reference in the immediate feature, this feature is bound to be of great use.
Need to be reminded about a bill you need to pay, a receipt you have to file with your expense report, or any other scanned document you must otherwise act on? Just long-swipe to the right on the document list in Scanbot to set a reminder for it.
A reminder can take the form of a Scanbot push notification or be integrated with the Reminders app and Evernote, with support for another popular task manager coming soon. Whats more, a reminder can be easily set from among the predefined dates and times (this evening, tomorrow, this weekend, next week, end of month) or with any other specific date and time.
Note, though, that reminders support is available only to users who have unlocked Scanbots Pro upgrade, which is regularly priced at $4.99. If you havent, I suggest you upgrade now to get reminders and a number of other useful features besides.
But even if youre only on the standard tier of Scanbot, you can still take advantage of the other enhancements brought by the latest update to the app.
Theres integration with the popular password management app 1Password for easily logging in to any of the cloud storage services that youve connected to Scanbot, including Dropbox, Google Drive, Evernote, OneDrive, Box, Yandex.Disk, WebDAV, Telekom Cloud, and Shoeboxes.
The new Scanbot update also removes the restriction on the number of pages you can have per document, allowing you to scan as many as you can for those large scanning jobs. At long last, you can now scan your copy of War and Peace in its entirety!
