Google’s stock Android OS has been a hit-and-miss as far as volume controls go lately. Google tried to experiment with this a while back when they basically removed the regular ‘mute’ option from the OS, and have quickly realized how much they’ve managed to complicate things. Google brought back regular mute button through an update, but Android is still not great as far as volume controls go, but you can get a lot more control if you turn to a third-party app like the one we’ll talk about today, read on.
The app in question is called ‘App Volume Control’, and this is basically an application which has one sole purpose, to let you control the volume of your applications. The way this works is very simple, you can set different volume settings for each app, and as soon as you fire up that app, App Volume Control will adjust volume accordingly. This can be really handy considering you can set up a different profile for particular games, your music listening app and YouTube, for example. This app might seem quite simple, but the developer has included quite a few features here. The app lets you create specific rules for each app, you can adjust volumes for music, ringtones, alarms, notifications and general system sounds. The app adjusts volumes you set both when you’re opening and closing apps, and you can also set different rules / profile when you plug in a headset. There are a number of additional options we did not mention here, but you can always take a closer look over at Google Play Store if you’re interested.
That being said, this app comes with ads, well, at least its free variant does. You can upgrade to the ‘Pro’ variant if you want in order to remove ads, that will cost you around $1. Now, the design of this app also looks really good, as you can see in the gallery down below. That is more or less it, the App Volume Control is available for download for free in the Google Play Store, and if you’re interested, click on the Google Play banner which is located below this article.
