Devolver Digital recently narrowed the release date for Shadow Warrior on the new generation to late September. Today the developer, in cooperation with Bandai Namco games, pinpointed an exact date. It will hit PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 23.
The console version has a few new features added to the PC one that hit last year. Those include an Arena mode with waves of enemies, more campaign content revolving around the head of the Zilla Corporation, and weapons that pull from other Devolver franchises: the sledgehammer from Serious Sam 3, the katana from Hotline Miami, the "classic Shadow Warrior" katana, and the Zilla Enterprises Z45 katana.
Shadow Warrior received mixed reviews on PC. Devolver previously said it was aiming for the console versions to cost $39.99, so presumably that price point still applies.
