SketchBook Pro, the popular drawing application by Autodesk, has been released today for Android tablets.
Working as a digital canvas and brush set, SketchBook Pro allows users to create drawings and designs using either their fingers or an aftermarket stylus. Images can be constructed over 6 layers, employing over 60 different brushes, with the ability to export files to Photoshop afterwards.
Although SketchBook Pro is already available for Android smartphones, iPads and iPhones, this is the first time the application has been optimised for Android’s Honeycomb operating system.
Speaking about the launch of SketchBook Pro, Chris Cheung, senior product manager of SketchBook products said, “In this world, size matters. There’s this kind of different engagement — while phones are convenient and fit in your pocket, they aren’t the same experience as using the app while holding something the size of an actual sketchbook.”
SketchBook Pro is now available to download for £3.09 from the Android Market.
