If you've had trouble finding the perfect chat bot to strike up a conversation with in Skype on your iPhone or iPad, the app's latest update should remedy that. The latest version of Skype adds a "Bot" icon to the top right of the recents screen, making it much easier to find a bot to start chatting up.
This version of Skype also adds @mentions, allowing you to alert specific members of a group conversation — much like Twitter's implementation. Here's the full rundown on what's new in Skype 6.20 for iPhone and iPad:
We've made it easier to find bots on Skype - just tap on the bot icon in your Recent header.
Found a helpful bot? Tap the conversation header while chatting to a bot and add it to your favorites.
We've improved the reliability of your notifications.
Muted conversations no longer appear in your unread message count.
You'll now see when Skype is updating your conversations or when you're having network problems.
We've made improvements to voice messaging, so it should now work for everyone!
This is definitely a solid update, to be sure. If you're interested in checking out all of the latest additions to Skype, be sure to grab the update for iPhone and iPad at the App Store link below.
