A new Kickstarter project has introduced a way to keep your iPhone safe without having to buy a case. Called Slip Stopper, it is essentially a gel adhesive that is applied to the front and back of an iPhone 4 or 4S. Slip Stopper addresses the slipperiness of the iPhone’s glass construction while eliminating the bulkiness of a case and protecting the iPhone from damage. The Slip Stopper adhesive is also scratch resistant, touts shock absorption, and slightly raises the edge of your iPhone screen to prevent scratches while it’s face-down.
The project is looking for $4,500 in funding on Kickstarter and has already reached $578 of this goal at press time. Pledging a large amount to the Slip Stopper project has its enticing benefits, including Slip Stoppers when they are released, and even the ability to be featured in a future promotional video for anyone who pledges over $1,000. Project creator Mark Zhang assures that all funding will go towards the production of this interesting solution to keeping your iPhone safe and looking good at the same time.
Keeping their iPhones safe from damage is very important to most owners, although sometimes people are willing to sacrifice safety because of how cases disturb the look and feel of the device. Those who don’t buy a case have to deal with the risk of dropping their iPhones more easily because of the slippery glass.
If Slip Stopper is therefore something you can see yourself applying to your iPhone, check out its Kickstarter page to keep up on its progress or even contribute a pledge. Slip Stopper is going to be available for $15 \ in pure black and white once it has reached its funding goal and completed production.
