TOKYO, Japan - Sony is expected to launch the Xperia neo L, the first Android 4.0 ICS smartphone of the company, as well as the Xperia acro S, Xperia go and a hand-cranked charger.
The Neo L is expected only for Chinese market, with just some recent rumors placing it as a global release. It packs a 4-inch IPS LCD display with 854x480 pixels in resolution, a 5MP camera with 720p HD video recording and is based on the Snapdragon chipset with single-core 1GHz Scorpion processor and Adreno 205 graphics.
Another announcement from Sony seems more promising with the new Xperia go and Xperia acro S, which are expected with high water and dust protection. The high-end Xperia acro S will pack a 4.3” Reality display with Mobile BRAVIA engine, a 12.1MP camera with 1080p video recording with 1.5 GHz Qualcomm MSM8260 dual-core processor. The phone will run on Android 4.0 ICS.
Another interesting gadget from Sony is the extra battery pack devised by the company, which will be able to charge up a smartphone twice and to be charged in emergency cases with a hand-cranking lever.
