Sony published a new ad for its PlayStation Vita on its European PlayStation YouTube channel on Friday, but shortly after, set the video to private once its existence was expectedly criticized due to it being filled to the brim with sexual innuendos.
The ad features a “doctor” that asks the viewer a number of questions, all of which suggests they’re frequent masturbaters. “`I bet you've already done it today,” she says in the ad. “Or are you afraid you're doing it too often? In your bedroom under the blankets? Or perhaps you prefer the kitchen or the toilet?” As you probably expect, the doctor hasn’t been referring to the viewers’ masturbation techniques, but instead, is referring to the Remote Play feature that the PlayStation Vita is capable of when linked to a PlayStation 4.
The ad is still set to private, although I’m sure Sony is kicking themselves for publishing such an embarrassing video. I know humor is a bit different in European countries, but this ad is just awful. See it for yourself below and try not to cringe.
