Sexy beyond belief is how I describe the Sony S1 and S2 tablets. Both Tablets are running on Android 3.0, Honeycomb, and are expected to hit shelves in September. While we were hearing and seeing a lot about these tablets, the specs were nonexistent until now.
The specs of both devices are nothing we’ve never seen before in other tablets and smartphones, but impressive nonetheless. The only problem is, how the hell will Sony price these bad boys to compete directly with the iPad 2? We doubt the company will be able to price these competively, which is both sad and disappointing. Anyway, let us get down to the specs, that is why you are here, isn’t it.
We’ll begin with the Sony S1, which is said to be retailed as the Sony Tablet S. This sexy and well designed tablet weighs a massive 600grams, packing 1GB of RAM and comes in a 16GB and 32GB versions. Next, we have the Sony S2, this thing will be retailed as the Sony Tablet P. The Tablet P is the most unique of the two, it sports dual 5.5inch displays, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage and 2GB SD card.
However, despite their differences, both tablets will be rocking NVIDIA’s dual core Tegra CPU and a 0.3MP front facing camera. Sadly, there doesn’t seem to be a camera on the back, but that’s not so bad seeing as these are tablets and not smartphones.
