Sony is in the process of dumping all remaining stock of their Digital Paper (DPT-S1) e-reader. The company has just slashed the price by $100 and is currently offering their 13.3 inch device for $699 on B&H and Amazon.
There might be a bit of truth that Sony is in the process of discontinuing their two year old e-reader. Last week numerous people wrote into Good e-Reader and told us that they placed an online order on CDW and that the company has refunded their money and told them the product was discontinued.
It is important to note that the DPT-S1 has limited functionality. You can can take notes and read PDF files only. The Good e-Reader 13.3 can do the same thing the Sony can, but it can also read e-books and install your favorite Android apps.
