Sony is set to launch their Xperia Z3 flagship smartphone later this month in Canada but they haven’t forgot about their massive phablet, the Z Ultra released last year.
According to Chinese website 3533.com, they have put up a page about a new Sony Xperia model, dubbed as the “Z3X” for now.
The page also includes a rather sketchy image of an Antutu benchmark specs result that reveals rather impressive specs, which include the 64bit 8-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC, 4GB of RAM, Adreno 430 GPU, and a phablet-sized 6.2-inch 1600p display. Yes, even QHD wasn’t enough for this phone. (Which is why I think you should take this with a grain of salt).
No clear cut information on the camera but it’s rumored it might come with a totally new camera sensor (2/3 sensor with ƒ1.2 aperture).
I still think this beast of a phone, if true, is meant to replace the Z Ultra while competing with Samsung’s K Zoom.
