If you’re interested in picking up a Sony Xperia E, know that you’ll need to pay £129.99 (VAT included) for the privilege. For that amount of cash, you’ll get a SIM-free and unlocked unit that you can use on any network you please. For now only the black Xperia E is available. If you’ve been waiting for the white version, you’ll need to be patient just a little bit more – until “early April”, according to the aforementioned retailer.
The Sony Xperia E comes with a 3.5-inch 320×480 touchscreen, a 3.15 MP camera, a 1 GHz Qualcomm processor, 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, all the usual connectivity options, and a 1,530 mAh battery. It runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, which is still a pretty rare occurrence at this price point. That said, don’t expect any software updates in the future, for Sony isn’t very good with this type of thing, and that’s especially true for its low-end devices.
