MINATO, Japan – Sony has started rolling out the Android 4.4 KitKat update to its low-end handsets Xperia E1 and Xperia E1 Dual.
This new Android update will bring enhanced performance and UI optimization. Along with this, the status bar and Quick Settings have been tweaked making them even more intuitive and customizable, ensuring that users get notified for what that they actually need. The launch animation and live-wallpaper for the lock and home screens have been made similar to that of the PS4.
Users will now get more control over their content for efficient management of storage data, and will be easily allowed to move apps from internal memory to SD card. In addition, the company is offering a big kitty of its native app portfolio with its latest versions like Smart Connect, Messaging, TrackID, Sony Select, Battery STAMINA mode and few Media Apps like WALKMAN, Album and Movies. More “Xperia Themes” have also been poured into the upgrade package.
The company has announced that the next handsets to receive the KitKat update will be Xperia M2 and Xperia M2 Dual.
