In 2015, Sony had launched the camera focused Xperia C5 Ultra and Xperia M5 smartphones. Though the devices come with better build quality and high-end specifications, they haven’t got much attention when compared respectively priced Chinese smartphones. Earlier this week, we had mentioned about the Xperia X Premium, which will be the first smartphone to feature a display with HDR playback support.
Now a post on Weibo also suggests the company may launch two more smartphones Xperia C6 Ultra and Xperia M Ultra. While the Xperia C6 Ultra will be the successor for Xperia C5 Ultra, the Xperia M Ultra seems to the rumored Xperia M6. The rumored specifications make the Xperia M Ultra a perfect smartphone for smartphone photography enthusiasts.
Recently Oppo launched the Oppo F1 Plus (a.k.a Oppo R9) with 16MP selfie camera and a 13MP primary camera. The Xperia M Ultra offers even better cameras, it said to sport a 23MP OSS (optical steady shot) dual rear cameras where one sensor features 24mm lens and f/2.2 aperture, and the other one comes with 75mm lens and f/2.2 aperture.
While the Xperia X Premium is said to offer next-gen smartphone display, the Xperia M Ultra will feature one of the best smartphone cameras. For selfies lovers, it includes a 16MP sensor with a 25mm lens and f/2.0 aperture. It features a 6-inch Whitemagic IPS-Neo display with Full HD resolution. The device comes with very narrow bezels on both the side.
Under the hood is the Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor coupled with 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 32GB of built-in storage.It is backed by a 4,280mAh battery and include a fingerprint sensor and a USB Type-C Port. While there is no other source backing the above mentioned details, we advise you to take this with a pinch of salt.
