MINATO, Japan – The Sony Xperia E1 and its dual variant recently got the KitKat update, and it’s the turn for the Sony Xperia M2 and its dual variant to receive it.
As always, the update comes with many features and some performance tweaks with improved functionality. The new Android 4.4 KitKat update brings in a tweaked Status Bar with Quick Settings making the OS more intuitive and customizable ensuring that users get notified only for things which they really need.
The new Sony UI hosts a sleek launch animation, live wall-paper across the lock and home screens which is similar to that you get on the Sony PlayStation 4. The update also brings some easy storage options wherein users can quickly move their applications to SD card from internal memory giving them more control over the content.
Moreover, the entire native app portfolio from Sony has been updated to its latest versions for apps like TrackID, Battery STAMINA Mode, Smart Connect, Messaging and some Sony Media Apps like WALKMAN, Album and Movies. A range of “Xperia Themes” also come along with this update and the device can now be made easily compatible with Sony SmartBand and Lifelog app.
