The Sony Xperia S smartphone was first introduced at CES 2012 with plans for a European and American launch in the Spring of 2012. Before a launch with AT&T can occur, the Xperia S needs to gain approval from the FCC, and today we learned that it recently visited the FCC and everything looks to be in order.
In addition, the Sony Xperia S is said to be coated with “anti-stain shell,” which will help keep your device fresh and clean. The coating is expected to be similar to what is found on the DROID RAZR. Lastly, it will employ a new battery technology that aims for rapid and efficient charging. The fast charging mode will allow the battery to gain an hour of usage in just ten minutes of charging time. In any event, AT&T is likely to launch the Xperia S in just a few short weeks and hopefully more details will be announced.
