Just like we told you it would happen, the Sony Xperia S has been launched in India yesterday, and is now available for 32,549 INR (about $633).
Customers should be able to find the Xperia S (pictured below) via most major Indian retailers. Some of them are offering the smartphone for slightly less than the official price – for example, LetsBuy is asking 31,990 INR for it.
In addition to the Xperia S, other three Sony handsets will be introduced in India starting May: Sony Xperia P, Sony Xperia U, and the Sony Xperia Sola (with its “magical” floating touch technology).
All four new Xperias currently run Android 2.3 Gingerbread, but they will be updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich sometime later this quarter.
