GLOBAL – Sony’s flagship phablet, the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra, along with its dual SIM variant, are now getting the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update, which could now be available via OTA.
The latest update for the phablet comes with enhanced performance and UI upgrades. Few of the basic interface changes have been brought by Android while Sony has tweaked its custom software. The quick settings and status bar have been altered with some design elements like live wallpaper and boot animation, picked from Sony’s PlayStation 4.
Moreover, the pre-installed app package from Sony has been updated with their latest version for apps like Walkman music player, Messaging, Smart Social Camera, Album Galley and Movies Player and few more. With this new update, the Xperia T2 Ultra will now be compatible with Sony SmartBand and its Lifelog app.
The Sony Xperia E1 and Xperia M2 are believed to be the next devices in queue to get the KitKat treatment.
