TOKYO, Japan – Sony has announced that it is rolling out Android 4.4 KitKat for the Sony Xperia Z, ZR, ZL and Tablet Z this month.

The product pages of these devices show them as receiving the latest Android 4.4 KitKat in May 2014. Any fixed date for the roll-out has not been confirmed yet.
Users of these devices can soon expect their handsets to get upgraded to the latest OS.
The Sony Xperia Z, ZR and the Xperia ZL host almost similar specs to each other, sporting a 5-inch display, a 13MP camera, BRAVIA Engine 2 and other components with minor tweaks. On the contrary, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z hosts a 10″ screen and comes in two variants of Wi-Fi only and LTE connectivity.
