The Z1 Compact, Sony’s smaller flagship smartphone that was announced at the beginning of this month, is now available for purchase in both the UK and Germany.
The release comes a few days earlier than we expected given the information available at launch, but hey, no one’s complaining, right? The Xperia Z1 Compact is now out in the UK at O2 – and only there at the moment, so if this isn’t your operator of choice you may have to wait a few days longer to get your mitts on the handset.
If you want to get it from O2 on Pay & Go, the price you need to pay is £479.99. Alternatively, there are of course contracts to consider. So do go through all the options before you make up your mind.
If you’re in Germany, on the other hand, you can already pick up the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact in SIM-free and unlocked form, straight from Amazon. The retailer is asking for €499 of your hard earned cash for the privilege, but it does throw in free shipping.
At this rate, we’re expecting the Xperia Z1 Compact to reach mass availability in Europe within the next few weeks – good news for those of you who’d like premium specs in a smaller package.
