The Sony Xperia Z1 f is well known to us, most notably as the smaller version of the Xperia Z1 flagship. It is also known to have quite a lot of similarities with its elder sibling, but the display is not one of them. As 1080p 4.3 inch displays are hard to come by, Sony decided to go with a 720p 1280 x 720 display instead, thus bringing down the quality substantially, or so we thought.
According to a new comparison, the 4.3 inch display on the Xperia Z1 f outshines the 5 inch 1080p Triluminos display on the Xperia Z1 by a fair margin. This is a bit hard to fathom, especially considering how seriously the display of a smartphone is taken, but the results are well within the public domain now. This display on the mini variant apparently has better contrast and clarity thanks to a slightly superior grade IPS panel used. So if you thought the display resolution on the Xperia Z1 f is a deal breaker, you might want to reconsider.
