Today’s leak features another image, this time comparing the Xperia Z1S to what is essentially its bigger (and older) brother – the Z1. The Z1S is widely expected to be a ‘mini’ version of that device, with a 4.3-inch 720p screen and smaller battery, but otherwise the exact same specs – including the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and the 20 MP camera.
This would set the Sony Xperia Z1S apart among the ‘mini’ variations of popular smartphones, since both the HTC One Mini and the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini are underpowered in comparison.
The source for the image above mentions that the Xperia Z1S will come with an IPS display, something which is pretty surprising given Sony’s history of sticking with plain ‘ol TFT units. Obviously though this person may be mistaken, keep that in mind.
The Sony Xperia Z1S could be released on November 26, or at least that’s what the most recent rumor on the matter claimed. We’ll keep you posted.
