We recently discovered that Samsung was prepping to launch the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite during the CES event in January. We now have some details regarding the hardware specs of the tablet (SM-T110), thanks to a leaked user agent profile. The specs sheet reportedly includes a 7 inch 1024×600 resolution display, a 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9 processor and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. This is pretty much all we know about the tablet right now, but the rest of the specs sheet shouldn’t surprise us. This is reportedly going to be Samsung’s cheapest Android tablet with pricing slated to be under $150 or €100 . The tablet will be offered in Black and White color variants apparently, much like any other Samsung device out there.
Samsung is clearly trying to tap into the low end tablet segment which has a huge market globally, mainly due to the cost. So buyers of these tablets won’t necessarily mind the hardware as long as they’re getting a good value. Since it’s still early days, there’s no word on whether the tablet will launch outside Asia and Europe.
