Spigen are a well-known smartphone case and accessory manufacturer and have just announced their range of nine Samsung Galaxy S6 accessory products on the website, priced from $14.99 up to $34.99 and available to pre-order. As we’ve come to expect from Spigen, the accessories are also available in a number of colors, meaning you can add a splash of different color to your brand new device as well as keep it safe from drops and spills. The range includes cases with stand, a wallet style case and a clear model, too.
Writing of the device, Spigen’s website doesn’t just show the cases but also includes renders of the device within. This is one of our strongest clues as to what the Galaxy S6 is going to look like, at least in chassis design and for what appears to be the normal or non-edge-screen model. I’m not so sure that the interface on a few of the images is right! Of course, the Galaxy S6 hasn’t been announced yet – we’re expecting this to happen on the 1 March. We don’t yet have a release date for the smartphone, but if you are looking to pick one up then you should be able to get your have your new Spigen ready and waiting for the Galaxy’s arrival.
We’ve recently covered the rumor that Samsung are working on using NFC tags to differentiate between genuine and non-genuine Samsung accessories. We’re not sure how much truth is in this rumor, or if it turns out to be true, how much of an impact it will have on certain styles of case but for most of the Spigen designs, it will likely make no difference if it is recognized as an official accessory or not. The flip open wallet style case might benefit from being an official case style if Samsung enables notifications on the edge of the screen, but the other styles of case are not likely to benefit.
What do you think to these cases and, of course, the rendered Galaxy S6 inside? Have you owned a Spigen case before and if so, did you enjoy it? Let us know in the comments below.
