Music streaming platform Spotify has today introduced a new feature that it says allows iOS users to listen to song previews and build playlists in a far more convenient way.
Fittingly dubbed Touch Preview, the feature lets you simply hold your finger down on any track to get a short snippet – dragging your finger onto another song starts a new track. Tapping any track plays the full version, as you’d expect.
If you’re in the middle of listening to one song and decide to listen to a preview of another, once the preview ends, your original track will carry on from where you left off.
Alongside the preview, Spotify added new gesture support, allowing you add a song to your My Music section with a swipe to the left, or to add it to your queue with a swipe to the right.
Right now, the feature is only available for iOS devices, but Spotify said it would be making its way to other platforms “soon”.
