During the Spring Forward Event, Apple gave us general Apple Watch pricing ranges for the three different categories. The Apple Store has just been updated with the specifics. The Apple Watch Sport is $349 for the 38mm model across all five colored sport bands, while the 42mm model is $399 across all five colored sport bands.
The main Apple Watch category feature 20 different models with ten different straps, and the two sizing configurations of 38mm and 42mm. The $549 price applies to the 38mm model with the sport band in either white or black, while 42mm is $599. There’s a $200 difference to go from the aluminum based sport edition to the stainless steel model with sport strap.
The Apple Watch stainless steel case with black classic buckle, and milanese loop come in at $649 for 38mm, and $699 for 42mm. The leather loop only is offered on the 42mm model, and retails at $699 as well for blue, stone, black, and brown leather loops. The modern buckle only comes in 38mm varieties at $749 for blue, black, soft pink, and brown. The most expensive in the Apple Watch category are the link bracelets with the standard silver $949 and $999 for 38mm and 42mm, respectively. The black link bracelet is $1049 and $1099 for 38mm and 42mm.
Finally, there’s the premium Apple Watch edition with eight different models. The first model is the 38mm 18-karat rose gold with white sport band for $10,000. To get that model in 42mm, it comes to $12,000. The 18-karat yellow gold with black sport band offers the same pricing as the rose gold and white sport band models. Prices go up once you get the the 38mm 18-karat rose gold with modern buckle in rose gray or bright red, which retails for $17,000. The 42mm 18-karat yellow gold with classic buckle in black or blue comes in at $15,000.
The most shocking aspect may be that going from sport band to modern buckle is a $200 increase. On the Apple Watch edition, it’s a $7,000 increase with only the band being different.
There are a lot of combinations, and you can preview the Apple watch starting on April 10th, with the devices shipping on April 24th.
