Sprint was expected to begin accepting pre-orders for the LG G3 smartphone this morning, although it appears that the U.S.’s third-largest carrier has decided to make the handset available for purchase ahead of time. The smartphone can be ordered from the Sprint website right now in an exclusive gold color, starting at $199.99 with a new two-year service agreement.
The smartphone can also be purchased for monthly installments of $25 over two years, with no annual service agreement required. As reported by Android Police, the Sprint store tracker tool indicates that the smartphone is in stock in-stores as well. Sprint did not immediately respond to request for comment, but we will update this story if we hear back.
The LG 3G features a 5.5-inch Quad HD IPS display, 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB internal storage, a microSD slot for up to 128 GB of expanded storage, a 3000 mAh Li-Po internal battery and more. The smartphone runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.
