Those rocking a Sprint branded Galaxy Nexus may have noticed an update notification on their handset. And well, Sprint has officially announced the latest update for the Galaxy Nexus — but before we see any excitement about Jelly Bean — this update is not bringing Android 4.1. The details provided by Sprint mention how this update contains a “Google security fix” amongst some other small changes and additions. Those other goodies include the following;
Change default LTE setting from Off to On
Change Wi-Fi default setting from Off to On
RSSI Indicator modification
Support for Sprint TV
The Galaxy Nexus (for Sprint) software update arrives as version IMM76K.L700FG01. Lastly, as a warning for anyone that is not located in a Sprint LTE zone — you may want to go back into your settings after you update and flip the LTE setting to off and save some battery life.
