Sprint is now sending out very minor updates to the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy S5 smartphones containing something known as “Reactivation Lock”, which is a security feature. There aren’t any other noticeable features available with this update and if there are, it has been left from the carrier’s changelog.
The Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy S5 are both flagships from last year, which is why the carrier is sending out the update simultaneously. The Galaxy S5 and the Galaxy Note 4 on Sprint are in tow to get the Android 5.1 update sometime soon, so the users should be on the lookout for an update soon.
The Galaxy S5 wasn’t nearly as popular as Samsung wanted it to be given the relative lack of innovation from the company. However, the Korean manufacturer learned its lesson with the Galaxy Note 4, although it didn’t make much of a difference on the sales chart due to the emergence of the larger iPhones.
