Square Enix has announced the release of KooZac, a game the BBC states is “Caught somewhere between Tetris and Sudoku.” Gameplay centers around falling blocks you must place on top of each other to create the target number. Once you complete a set amount of target numbers, the blocks will be destroyed and you’ll finish the level.
KooZac offers three modes to play, and games can enhance their experience with additional in-game boosts including Hint, Side-by-Side, Match Them All, Multiplier, and Slow Down.
Puzzle - Play through 60 levels, destroying the silver puzzle blocks and clearing the board by completing the targets.
Endless - No level, no stage. Compete against the world in Endless mode and use multi gems to rack up huge scores.
Blitz - Complete targets and use boosts in order to get the highest score possible in one minute. By connecting with Facebook, players can compete with others for high scores on live leaderboards and weekly competitions.
Ben Cusack, creator of KooZac, stated, “When creating KooZac, the main objective has always been to make an immersive and rewarding puzzle game that anyone of any gaming experience can learn, enjoy, and share with others.”
