Starting August 12, Japanese wireless carrier NTT DoCoMo will take pre-orders of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray So-03C smartphone. Whereas little has been revealed regarding the price, the carrier announced on the Xperia Ray’s availability in three stylish colors, pink, gold and white, with actual availability at DoCoMo shops on August 27.
Xperia Ray is one of the most sleek and stylish smartphone from Sony Ericsson’s lot sporting a stylish aluminum body while weighing not more than 100g. Moreover, the smartphone is being voiced to target entertainment and multimedia fans as the handset incorporates several of Sony’s advanced technologies such as the xLoud audio technology.
Furthermore, the Xperia Ray includes a 8.1 megapixel camera with Exmor R technology with face-detection and auto focus features guaranteeing quality videos and images.
Powered by a single core 1 GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon processor and complemented by an Adreno 205 GPU, the Xperia ray would launch with Google’s Android 2.3 operating system and Timescape UI on top.
The smartphone sports a 3.3-inch LED backlit LCD multi-touch screen which supports 16 million colors, 480 x 854 pixels resolution, based on Mobile BRAVIA Engine and Sony Ericsson’s POBox Touch 4.3.
